West End Welcomes The NCA High School Cheerleading Championship!

Each year, the NCA High School Cheerleading Championship brings thousands of youth from all over to downtown Dallas to compete in a rigorous, two-day competition. The NCA is the world’s most original cheerleading company. With a dedication to innovation and a passion for leadership, NCA has paved the way for modern day cheerleading all over the world. As the Dallas West End welcomes the cheerleaders, we invite them to explore our fine dining restaurants, and tour our part of downtown with shopping and attractions, making us the ultimate destination.

What Is The NCA High School Championship?

High schools from all over come to compete in preliminary and final competitions, showcasing what they have to bring to win gold! Teams compete in three divisions – Performance, Game Day, and Time Out, each one more rigorous and complex, designed to demonstrate team-building and a unique skill-set.

  • Performance – performance divisions are meant to be entertaining, with a visual showcase of athleticism, including a cheer and dance portion in the routine.
  • Game Day – much like the performance division, the game day division is meant to be entertaining, with a more rigorous and advanced level of athleticism, with the main difference is the crowd leading portion of the cheer.
  • Time Out – these routines should focus on crowd-leading material suitable for sideline or pep rallies. The Time Out categories are: cheer, dance and fight song. Teams must compete in all three categories (Performance, Game Day and Time Out) to be eligible for the national title.

All teams competing receive a placement trophy, while the national champions receive a prize pack that includes a jacker, megaphone trophy, and an exclusive trip to the NCA champions club!
