Come explore the Old Red Museum and experience all things uniquely Dallas! Built in 1892, the beautifully restored Old Red Courthouse contains some of Dallas County’s most fascinating historical artifacts. There is a special exhibit gallery located on the first floor, while the second floor of Old Red is filled with artifacts, rare photographs, 41-touch screen kiosks, a children’s educational hands-on learning center, and four mini theatres. In the museum, visitors can see a Lancaster Dragoon pistol, c. 1862; a WWI era gas mask; Clyde Barrow’s gun; Spanky McFarland’s pants; handcuff’s worn by Lee Harvey Oswald; and much more.
